NAPA IBS SITE PARTS SPECIALIST/COUNTER SPECIALIST

1. IBS Site Parts Specialist / Counter Specialist. This is an operational, customer-facing role located directly inside a client's facility (such as a fire department, transit authority, or public works garage). [1] Customer Service & Procurement: Deliver direct support to the client's mechanics and service teams. Fulfill parts requests by utilizing approved NAPA and non-NAPA third-party vendors. [1, 2] System Management: Process electronic part requests and track transactions using the specialized IBS HUB computer system. [1] Asset Sourcing: Locate assets in the shop and gather critical information—such as VINs, serial numbers, or specific part numbers—to accurately source and pull hard-to-find items via catalogs, blueprints, or digital software. [1] Inventory Control: Receive, check in, and stock supply shipments. This includes barcode tagging inventory and organizing items into their proper bin locations. [1, 2] Site Upkeep: Maintain the overall cleanliness, safety, and organization of the parts counter, stockroom, and surrounding site area. [1] Logistics Support: Operate delivery or company vehicles for local parts pickups and drop-offs when necessary. [1] Contract & Performance Management: Ensure the on-site team hits the exact service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance metrics required by the client’s contract. Asset Protection: Oversee inventory protection, minimize stock shrinkage, handle returns of non-company excess inventory, and manage overall operational issues. Vendor & Client Relations: Build strong working relationships with the client’s leadership team. Coordinate and negotiate pricing, inventory levels, and return privileges with approved non-NAPA vendors. Financial Oversight: Manage daily, weekly, and monthly parts billing, reconciliation items, and store financial metrics to ensure a strong ROI.
