About the Role Begin your day by opening the MRP and production control systems, scanning for upcoming builds and potential shortages. As parts move through the shop, you’ll track work-in-process, expedite where needed, and adjust plans when variables shift. What You'll Do Build realistic production schedules and keep them current as conditions change. Monitor material inventories and WIP status; identify risks that could impact schedules. Verify availability of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies before authorizing work orders. Initiate and release work orders aligned to MRP and spreadsheet-driven schedules. Use the production control system to check progress and expedite tasks when required. Create and maintain shortage reports; flag emerging problems and communicate supply order status and requirements. Partner with Production, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, and Production Control teammates to maintain schedule integrity and WIP visibility. Update and maintain supply orders to support schedule changes. Suggest and support continuous improvements to Modern Industries’ systems and procedures. Your Background High school diploma or equivalent required. 1–3 years in manufacturing production control, assembly, or fabrication; aerospace experience preferred. Clear written and verbal communication skills, solid negotiation ability, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent organization; self-driven work style.
