MRO Buyer – Manufacturing

MRO Buyer Location: Wellford, SC Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience Position Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire About the Opportunity Henis Group is recruiting an experienced MRO Buyer for an established manufacturing company in Wellford, SC. This newly created position will support the purchasing of maintenance, repair, and operations supplies needed to keep equipment, facilities, and daily operations running efficiently. This opportunity is a good fit for someone with purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment who enjoys working with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams, and keeping orders organized and on track. What You’ll Do Purchase maintenance parts, repair items, tools, operating supplies, and other indirect materials. Work with maintenance, production, and other departments to understand purchasing needs and priorities. Request supplier quotes and compare pricing, availability, and delivery timelines. Create and track purchase orders, follow up on outstanding orders, and communicate delivery updates. Build and maintain supplier relationships and help resolve order discrepancies. Support appropriate inventory levels for frequently used supplies and critical replacement parts. Maintain accurate purchasing records and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, and delivery. What We’re Looking For Previous purchasing or buyer experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Familiarity with MRO purchasing, industrial supplies, or maintenance parts strongly preferred. Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through. Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple purchasing requests and adjust to changing priorities. Comfort using purchasing software and Microsoft Excel; ERP/MRP experience is a plus.
