ere we have a dedicated team of professional roasters and supporting process teams including planning, warehouse management, packaging, roasting, maintenance, engineering and logistics. In this role, you will manage compliance of plant systems and inspections, oversee contractors and ensure they meet Starbucks requirements, and handle procurement to keep plant operations safe and efficient. You’ll also manage quotes, POs, CMMS updates, inventory, and service contracts for plant equipment.
As a maintenance buyer, you will… Maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance of plant systems such as annual fire system testing, annual hoist inspections, back flow preventers, etc. Ensure any contracted service providers meet Starbucks requirements such as OSHA 300 logs, liability insurance and daily permit to work compliance. Execute procurement services to meet business requirements including inventory control (e.g., vendor set-up, electronic ordering and tracking, cycle counting), cost analysis, and capacity analysis (e.g., scheduling and planning).
Obtain quotes, create requisitions, and generate purchase orders for contracted services. Recommend and implement solutions to improve cost and quality of contracted service providers. Maintain and support ongoing development of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Work in conjunction with parts buyer to ensure replacement parts are ordered and stocked in a timely manner. Maintain and renew annual service contracts for critical plant processing equipment such as air compressors, X-rays, packaging mach
