GOOD STUFF MOVINGGood Stuff Moving | Maplewood, MN Moving Operations & Dispatch Manager Good Stuff Moving is looking for an experienced, organized, and dependable Dispatch Manager to oversee our daily moving crews, dispatch team and help keep our operation running smoothly. This is a fast-paced position that requires someone who can think ahead, communicate well, solve problems quickly, and keep multiple moving parts organized at the same time. You will be responsible for making sure our crews, trucks, and jobs are properly scheduled and prepared each day while working closely with our operations and sales teams. What You’ll Be Responsible For Build and manage the daily schedule for moving crews and trucks Assign the right crew members and equipment to each job Review upcoming jobs to make sure staffing, trucks, equipment, and timing are appropriate Confirm crews are arriving and departing on time Communicate daily expectations and job details with crew leaders and movers Monitor jobs throughout the day and make adjustments when schedules change Handle call-ins, late employees, job delays, last-minute changes, and other daily issues Coordinate with the sales and operations teams regarding schedule changes and customer needs Communicate with customers when operational issues affect their move Help manage employee availability, time-off requests, and staffing needs Track employee attendance, punctuality, and performance Review employee time punches and job start times for accuracy Use GPS/fleet tracking to monitor trucks and verify job activity when necessary Help ensure crews follow Good Stuff Moving policies, safety procedures, and customer-service standards Prepare the following day’s schedule and identify potential problems before they happen Maintain clear and accurate notes in company systems Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and accountability of moving crews What We’re Looking For We need someone who is comfortable being in charge and can make decisions without needing constant direction. The right person should be able to stay calm when the schedule changes, hold employees accountable, and still maintain a positive working relationship with the crews. Ideal candidates will have: Dispatch, operations, logistics, transportation, moving, or similar management experience Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication skills Experience managing employees and handling difficult conversations Ability to prioritize and make quick decisions Strong computer skills and ability to learn multiple software systems Attention to detail, especially with scheduling and employee timekeeping Ability to work early mornings and adjust when operational needs require it A dependable and team-oriented attitude Experience with SmartMoving, Paylocity, Motive, or similar dispatch, payroll/timekeeping, and fleet-management systems is a plus, but we can train the right person.
