MOVING HELPER

This energetic role involves assisting with loading, unloading, and transporting household or commercial items safely and efficiently. We provide paid training and opportunities to develop valuable skills in logistics, manual handling, and driving. Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and other items using proper manual handling techniques to ensure safety. Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and assist with the safe movement of goods within warehouses or trucks. Load and unload items from box trucks or personal vehicles while adhering to weight limits and safe lifting practices. Help organize items in storage or moving trucks to maximize space and ensure secure transport. Support drivers during route driving, ensuring timely deliveries while following all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate moving activities and address any concerns professionally. Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual transmission vehicles, and warehouse operations. Qualifications Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with material handling equipment is preferred but not required. Experience in delivery driving, courier services, or commercial truck driving is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently using proper techniques. Comfortable operating manual transmission vehicles such as vans or box trucks. Knowledge of traffic regulations, DOT guidelines, and weight handling in the workplace is a plus. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward assisting clients during their move. Ability to work effectively in physically demanding environments while maintaining safety standards. Use of mobile devices for communication or route navigation is beneficial.
