We are looking for an experienced, reliable Moving Driver/Helper to join our crew. In this role you will drive our 26 ft. box truck when assigned as driver, and work with the crew to pack, protect, load, transport, unload, and set up customers’ belongings on local moves. Duties Safely operate a 26 ft. box truck (no CDL required) to transport clients’ belongings to various locations. Pack, wrap, and pad furniture and household goods using moving blankets, shrink wrap, and other protective materials. Load and unload furniture, boxes, and equipment while following safety standards. Disassemble and reassemble furniture (beds, tables, desks, shelving, etc.). Assist customers with moving items, handling their possessions with care and professionalism. Follow designated routes efficiently and keep the fleet manager and office updated on arrival times and any delays. Inspect the vehicle before and after trips, and promptly report any defects, accidents, or damage to the fleet manager. Work with team members to load, secure, and unload cargo effectively on each move. Provide excellent customer service by answering client questions and ensuring a positive moving experience. Complete move paperwork accurately (inventory, bill of lading, start/stop times) and obtain customer signatures and/or payments as required. Immediately report any damage to customer property to the fleet manager or office. Keep the truck, pads, and equipment clean and organized, and return them to the facility at the end of each job. Qualifications Valid Florida driver’s license (Class E or higher) with a clean driving record. At least 1 year of professional moving experience and at least 1 year of experience driving a box truck (16–26 ft.) or similar vehicle (required). Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently during load and unload operations. Warehouse or moving experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to follow directions precisely from the fleet manager and the office. Courteous and respectful toward customers, their homes, and coworkers; a dependable team player. Dependable and punctual, with availability for early-morning starts and weekends. Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and drug screening, completed with your written authorization. Driver Eligibility & Insurance Requirements All drivers must be approved by our commercial auto insurance carrier and added to our policy as a listed driver before operating any company vehicle. To be eligible, you must: Be at least 21 years old. Have at least 2 years of licensed driving experience in the U.S. Have no DUI/DWI in the past 5 years, and no other major violations in the past 3 years (such as reckless driving, hit-and-run, or driving with a suspended or revoked license). Have no more than 2 minor moving violations and no more than 1 at-fault accident in the past 3 years. List all moving violations, accidents, and license suspensions from the past 5 years on your application. Incomplete or inaccurate information may disqualify you. Agree to MVR checks before hire and at least once a year during employment. Report any traffic citation, accident, or license suspension to the fleet manager within 24 hours. Use company vehicles for business purposes only: no personal errands, take-home use, or unauthorized passengers.
