Moving Crew Team Lead / Driver

Szuba Transport LLC — Cairo, IL headquarters Part-time, on-call We’re hiring an experienced household-goods mover to lead crews and drive company vehicles. Crews dispatch from headquarters. This is a hands-on position combining moving, driving, customer service, and job paperwork. Pay and benefits $25 per hour plus tips. $60 per-person bonus for qualifying overweight-item assignments. Paid time off. Paid travel time to and from job sites. Responsibilities Lead and organize the crew while actively helping with moving, loading, unloading, packing, and furniture assembly. Protect customers’ belongings and property using proper equipment and handling techniques. Drive company pickups and vans, rental box trucks up to 26 feet, and tow trailers as assigned. Communicate with customers and the office, address concerns, and keep jobs running efficiently. Complete job forms, on-site photos, time records, and end-of-job paperwork. Review charges and collect payment according to company procedures. Track vehicle mileage, complete vehicle checks, and report maintenance needs. Keep vehicles clean and equipment organized and secured. Train helpers and enforce safe work practices. Requirements At least one year of professional household-goods moving experience. Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer. Missouri Class E or Illinois Class C license, as applicable, and a current DOT medical card—or ability to obtain required credentials before driving assignments. Required background and driving-record checks, including eligibility for partner job assignments. Criminal history reviewed individually in accordance with applicable law. Pre-employment drug screening and compliance with our ongoing drug-testing policy. Reliable transportation to work, punctuality, and dependable attendance. Ability to perform physically demanding moving work, including lifting, carrying, stairs, and extended periods on your feet, with or without reasonable accommodation.
