Movers & Moving Truck Driver

Job Overview Moovers is hiring movers and drivers to join our fast-growing moving company serving Long Island and the surrounding areas. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, we'll train you. If you're strong, reliable, and hardworking, we want you on our team! Responsibilities Safely load, transport, and unload furniture, appliances, boxes, and other household or commercial items Wrap and protect furniture, electronics, and fragile items using moving blankets, shrink wrap, and padding Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed (beds, desks, shelving, etc.) Drive moving trucks safely and efficiently (CDL not required for most trucks) Navigate to job locations using GPS and follow planned routes Communicate with customers professionally and courteously Perform walkthrough with customers before and after each move Handle specialty items with care (pianos, antiques, heavy safes, etc.) Maintain clean and organized trucks and equipment Follow all safety protocols to prevent injury and property damage Assist with packing services when requested Complete job paperwork and collect payments when needed Report any damages, issues, or customer concerns to management Work efficiently as part of a 2–4 person crew Requirements & Skills Must be 18 years or older Valid driver's license required (CDL a plus but not required) [Drivers paid more] Ability to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly and work in physically demanding conditions Must be able to navigate stairs, tight spaces, and uneven terrain Reliable transportation to warehouse or meeting point Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team mentality Good communication and customer service skills Prior moving or labor experience preferred but not required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Comfortable working long hours during peak moving season (summer) Clean driving record preferred Why Work With Us Top pay in the industry — $18–$25/hr plus tips Tips are excellent — movers regularly earn $50–$150+ in daily tips Flexible scheduling — choose your days Paid training for all new hires Advancement opportunities to crew lead, driver, or operations roles Great workout — stay fit while getting paid Supportive team culture Consistent work year-round Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: Company truck Paid training Work Location: On the road
