Duties Safely load and unload items using proper manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or dollies Pack belongings securely to prevent damage during transit, utilizing appropriate packing materials and methods Assist with the organization and storage of items within warehouses or trucks, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace Drive box trucks or vans to deliver goods to residential or commercial locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload cargo efficiently at delivery points, ensuring accurate placement and securement of items Use mobile devices or delivery apps to track routes, update delivery statuses, and communicate with dispatch teams Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items, minimizing injury risk for yourself and others Requirements Previous warehouse experience or moving industry background preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Valid driver’s license with experience driving box trucks or vans; commercial driving experience is a plus Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or dollies safely Experience with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous but not required; must be comfortable driving different vehicle types including commercial trucks Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly while adhering to safe lifting practices Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling standards in the workplace Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude during interactions with clients Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication Ability to work in physically demanding environments involving manual handling, moving heavy objects, and warehouse operations Join us if you’re ready to move forward in a role that keeps you active, engaged, and making a tangible difference in people’s lives through efficient moving services!
