Mover/Driver Position for Moving Company

Job Overview Join our dynamic moving company as a Mover/Driver, where your energy and dedication will directly contribute to helping clients transition smoothly to their new spaces. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely operating various vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, to deliver and move household and commercial items efficiently. Your proactive approach and customer service skills will ensure a positive experience for every client, while your physical strength and attention to safety standards will keep operations running seamlessly. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, commercial trucks, and personal vehicles for local and long-distance moves Load, unload, and secure furniture and belongings using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks Follow established routes while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Assist with heavy lifting using proper safe lifting practices to prevent injury Communicate effectively with clients to coordinate delivery times and address any questions or concerns Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly Ensure all cargo is properly secured during transit to prevent damage or accidents Experience Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred Proven delivery driver experience, especially with van or box truck routes Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar devices Knowledge of commercial driving regulations, including DOT compliance and weight handling in the workplace Comfortable manual transmission driving experience is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle client interactions professionally Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently in accordance with safety guidelines This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to build a career in moving and transportation services.
