Mover/Driver

Overview Altawana Express is currently seeking a Furniture Mover / Driver to join our team. The minimum requirements for this position are as follows: - Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License (No-GDL). - Minimum of three years of experience operating a 5-ton, 26ft truck. - Provide a current driver’s abstract. - Ability to perform heavy, repetitive lifting. - Reliable personal transportation. - Proven record of reliability. - Available Monday thru Saturday. The starting wage is $24 to $29 per hour, with increases based on experience, plus tips. Please submit your application along with a recent copy of your abstract to: admin@altawanaexpress.ca Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport items between locations Load and unload goods using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies when necessary Ensure all items are secured properly during transit to prevent damage Assist customers with the moving process, providing friendly and professional service Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment Requirements Proven experience in moving, warehouse operations, or commercial driving preferred Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record - must provide a drivers abstract Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regulary Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules Ocasianl out of town jobs that require hotel stay overnight.
