Mobile Truck Body, Semi-Trailer & Lift Gate Technician

Job Overview Capitol City Trailers is hiring a Mobile Truck Body, Semi-Trailer & Lift Gate Technician to take our service on the road. You'll run a fully equipped mobile service truck, completing onsite repairs at customer locations and responding to roadside breakdowns to get trucks and trailers back in service fast. You'll diagnose and repair light, medium, and heavy-duty truck bodies, semi-trailers, and lift gates to OEM and factory standards, working independently as the face of CCT in the field. Job Duties Perform onsite service, maintenance, and repair work at customer locations safely, efficiently, and accurately. Respond to road service and breakdown calls, assess the situation, and complete repairs or arrange recovery as needed. Diagnose and repair truck bodies, semi-trailers, and related components to OEM and factory standards. Diagnose and repair lift gates, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, across major lift gate brands. Use OEM diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve repair issues when applicable. Communicate clearly with customers on site and with the mobile service manager regarding repair status, findings, and follow-up work. Maintain the mobile service truck, keep tools and parts inventory stocked and organized, and report maintenance needs. Track warranty-related parts and ensure proper documentation and return of required components to manufacturers. Complete accurate work orders, time, and parts records in internal business systems and approved partner platforms. Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, DOT, and OSHA regulations, including roadside safety practices. Participate in required safety meetings and training sessions. Stay current with evolving repair techniques, tools, and industry best practices. Experience Requirements Required: Working knowledge of truck body, semi-trailer, and lift gate systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and air. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound repair decisions in the field. Strong customer service and communication skills. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Maintain a sufficient set of personally owned tools required for the position. Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional after-hours or on-call breakdown service & Overtime Able to pass a criminal background check, physical examination, drug and alcohol screening. Preferred:2+ years of truck body, trailer, or lift gate repair experience, mobile or road service experience a plus. Lift gate manufacturer training or certification (Waltco, Maxon, Anthony, Thieman, etc.). Welding and fabrication skills. CDL Not Required! Technical school certification or Vo-Tech graduate in a related field. Why Capitol City Trailers?
