Southern Specialized Truck And TrailerMobile Reefer Mechanic (Thermo King / Carrier) – Jacksonville, Ocala & Lake City, FL Southern Specialized Truck & Trailer is building a mobile trailer refrigeration service in North Florida. We're looking for an experienced reefer mechanic to run a company service truck, fix units on the road, and help train our shop team. PAY - 30% of labor billed - Paid every week. Commission is tracked against labor on every invoice WHAT WE PROVIDE - A company service truck stocked with tools, recovery and evacuation equipment, and common parts - Company phone and fuel card - Diagnostic laptop and software - Shop support and parts backup at our Lake City location WHAT YOU'LL DO - Diagnose and repair Thermo King and Carrier trailer reefer units at the roadside, at customer yards, and in the shop - Refrigeration work: recovery, evacuation, leak checks, charging (R-452A / R-404A) - Engine and electrical work on the units: belts, fan motors and shafts, sensors, controllers, fuel systems, and head gaskets when they can be done in the field - PMs, documenting the work, and building invoices from the road - Work mostly mobile, covering the Jacksonville, Ocala, and Lake City areas, with some time in the shop - Train and mentor our existing mechanics, with the chance to lead the reefer side as it grows REQUIREMENTS - EPA 608 Type II or Universal certification (required) - Hands-on experience with Thermo King and/or Carrier trailer units - Comfortable working alone on the road and talking with drivers and dispatchers - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Your own hand tools preferred HOW TO APPLY Call 386-752-9754 or email travis@southernspecialized.com.
