Mobile Mechanic – Snow Removal Fleet

We are looking for a skilled Mobile Mechanic to keep our snow removal fleet running throughout the winter season. This role involves traveling between job sites and our yard to perform on-the-spot repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy and light equipment. A fully equipped company service truck will be provided to travel from the yard to job sites. Equipment Serviced: Plow trucks Front-end loaders Salt spreader trucks Sidewalk tractors and skid steers Snow blowers and small equipment Responsibilities: Respond to equipment breakdowns in the field during snow and ice events Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on-site Perform preventative maintenance and pre-season equipment inspections Repair and adjust plow frames, cutting edges, hydraulic hoses, spreader systems, and related components Maintain an organized and well-stocked service truck Communicate with dispatch and field supervisors regarding repair status and equipment availability Document all repairs, parts used, and service performed Qualifications: Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment repair Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in the field Familiarity with snow removal equipment (plows, spreaders, brine systems) is a strong asset Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Comfortable working outdoors in cold and severe winter conditions Available to work on-call, nights, weekends, and holidays during storm events Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision What We Provide: Fully equipped company service truck Specialty tools and diagnostic equipment Competitive hourly rate based on experience Seasonal position with potential for year-round work.
