Position Summary The Mobile Market Manager leads the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of Second Harvest Food Bank's Makin' Groceries Mobile Market within their assigned region. The Mobile Market is a mobile grocery store model designed to improve access to nutritious, affordable food in food deserts and underserved and rural communities, while connecting neighbors to wraparound resources such as nutrition education, healthcare screenings, and SNAP benefits enrollment. Duties and responsibilities are subject to change to meet the needs of current and future program demand. Accountabilities Program Planning & Operations Develop, plan, coordinate, operate, and evaluate the Mobile Market initiative within the assigned region. Develop and maintain the Mobile Market operating plan in collaboration with Impact Operations leadership. Create and manage weekly and monthly Mobile Market schedules and site logistics. Identify, assess, and approve Mobile Market sites against program goals and community need; serve as the primary point of contact for communities or organizations interested in establishing a Mobile Market. Operate and troubleshoot mobile market systems, including the point-of-sale platform and inventory database. Coordinate with the Procurement team to source food and supplies, ensuring product availability is adequate and culturally relevant to the communities served. Maintain inventory and ensure all supplies, materials, signage, and collateral are on-hand and market-ready. Manage day-to-day Mobile Market finances, including deposits and cash box balancing. Exercise independent authority over product selection and day-to-day budget decisions within approved program goals. Staff & Volunteer Supervision Supervise, train, and support the Mobile Market Coordinator, and volunteers. Assign staff tasks and prioritize workflow to ensure successful market operation. Support volunteer coordination and ensure proper delegation of on-site responsibilities. Invest in staff development and professional growth; foster a spirit of teamwork across the team. Community & Partner Engagement Conduct community outreach to identify and secure partner sites to host Mobile Market events. Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, host sites, and partner organizations. Coordinate nutrition education, cooking demonstrations, health screenings, and vaccinations with internal teams (e.g., SNAP Outreach) and external healthcare/service providers. Identify and network with local anti-hunger and nutrition education organizations. Represent Second Harvest at community meetings, events, and media opportunities, as appropriate. Data, Reporting & Compliance Ensure accurate and timely program reporting, including EBT transactions, demographics, participation, and revenue. Meet all reporting requirements, annual program goal…
