This role involves performing maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on heavy trucks, diesel engines, and related equipment at various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics, vehicle maintenance, and heavy truck repair, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site service to minimize downtime and keep the customer fleet and equipment in optimal condition. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and techniques, then perform repairs or replacements as needed. Repair heavy trucks, including engine repairs, brake systems, Air system, A/C system, transmissions, and electrical components. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions in the field and provide timely solutions to minimize operational disruptions. Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and repairs performed for each vehicle or piece of equipment. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies. Travel to various job sites as required to provide mobile repair services efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role involving vehicle maintenance and heavy truck repair. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic components. Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues accurately and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL license is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and report on work performed. Commitment to safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment. We are a 24/7 mobile service. Technicians participate in a rotating on‑call schedule, and while most work is during normal hours, there will be days when after‑hours calls are required.
