Role Description The Mixer Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Gunter and Van Alstyne, TX. The person in this role operates ready mix concrete trucks to deliver concrete to job sites, following assigned routes and schedules. Daily tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, safely driving and maneuvering the mixer truck, loading concrete, and controlling the discharge of concrete at the site. The Mixer Driver communicates with dispatch and site personnel, follows all safety procedures, and completes required delivery and maintenance documentation. The role may involve working in varying weather conditions, climbing in and out of the truck, and occasionally assisting with basic cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle and equipment.
Qualifications
• Commercial driving skills, including a valid CDL Class B and safe Truck Driving experience.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver a ready-mix Truck, including loading and Unloading concrete at job sites.
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations and ability to comply with all federal, state, and local transportation rules.
• Strong focus on safety, situational awareness, and adherence to company safety policies.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to read and follow delivery tickets, basic maps, and GPS directions.
• Physical ability to climb, lift, and work around heavy equipment in outdoor environments.
• Previous experience in ready mix, construction, or related industries is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
