Mid-Level Fleet & Equipment Mechanic

Cheek Construction Cheek Construction is seeking a dependable, hands-on Mechanic with solid experience in maintaining and repairing trucks, heavy equipment, and concrete-related equipment. This position is ideal for someone who can independently handle routine maintenance and common repairs, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and recognize when more complex repairs require additional support. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine mechanical repairs. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, diesel engine, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and concrete-related equipment. Document completed work, maintenance records, and repair needs. Identify potential equipment issues and communicate concerns before they lead to costly downtime. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Previous experience as a fleet, diesel, or heavy equipment mechanic. Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. Ability to complete routine repairs independently and assist with more complex diagnostics as needed. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety.
