Merchandising Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandising Assistant to support our supply chain and procurement operations. This role involves collaborating with vendors, managing inventory, and utilizing ERP systems to ensure seamless sourcing and purchasing processes. Duties Assist in sourcing and procurement activities to meet production and inventory needs Support vendor management by maintaining strong relationships and ensuring timely delivery of goods Coordinate with manufacturing teams to align procurement strategies with production schedules Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate sourcing options Assist in negotiating terms, prices, and contracts with vendors to optimize costs Monitor supply chain operations to identify risks or delays and implement corrective actions Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product lifecycle management and inventory planning Qualifications Proven experience with SAP, ERP systems, or similar supply chain management software Knowledge of manufacturing processes, vendor management, and procurement strategies Strong understanding of pricing, sourcing, and negotiation techniques Familiarity with MRP systems and supply chain logistics Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors Strong communication skills for effective negotiation and relationship management Prior experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing or supply chain environment is preferred This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in merchandising, procurement, or supply chain management within a professional setting.
