Merchandise & Inventory Coordinator
The ParkPOSITION OVERVIEW Title: Merchandise & Inventory Coordinator Reports To: Retail & Merchandising Manager Position Description The Merchandise & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day inventory control, merchandise processing, and administrative functions supporting The Park’s retail operation. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring merchandise is properly received, organized, and available for sale, and supporting the efficient operation of the retail shop. Working closely with the Retail Merchandise Manager, the Merchandise & Inventory Coordinator is accountable for inventory accuracy, stockroom organization, order and invoice processing, and timely execution of merchandise-related administrative tasks. This position also provides retail floor coverage and opening and closing support as needed. Key Responsibilities Inventory Control & Accuracy Maintain accurate inventory records through consistent execution of established inventory control procedures. Coordinate merchandise tagging, ticketing, and labeling to ensure products are accurately identified and priced before being placed on the retail floor. Process and document merchandise transfers, ensuring accuracy and proper tracking within the POS and inventory management systems. Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory verification activities as directed by the Retail Merchandise Manager. Identify, investigate, and report inventory discrepancies and assist with the resolution of variances. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient stockroom, ensuring merchandise is properly stored, accessible, and accounted for. Manage the daily flow of merchandise between receiving, storage, and the retail floor to support timely replenishment and product availability. Follow established procedures to minimize inventory loss, errors, and operational inefficiencies. Merchandise Administration Process merchandise invoices, purchase orders, and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Enter and track merchandise orders within the appropriate systems, ensuring information is complete and current. Perform daily reconciliation of merchandise transactions, receiving records, and related inventory activity. Identify and communicate discrepancies involving invoices, purchase orders, shipments, and inventory records. Coordinate special-order fulfillment, including order tracking, receipt of merchandise, and communication with the retail team to ensure timely guest follow-through. Maintain organized records and documentation related to merchandise purchasing, receiving, transfers, and inventory adjustments. Provide administrative and operational support to the Retail Merchandise Manager as needed. Retail Operations & Coverage Support the day-to-day operation of the retail shop, including opening and closing responsibilities as scheduled or needed. Follow established opening and closing procedures, including appropriate security, cash-handling, and operational controls. Assist with merchandise replenishment and maintaining an organized, well-stocked retail environment. Provide retail floor coverage and assist guests when business needs require. Work collaboratively with the retail team to ensure smooth communication between back-of-house inventory functions and front-of-house operations. Support seasonal merchandise transitions, inventory projects, and other retail initiatives as directed by the Retail Merchandise Manager. Qualifications Previous experience in retail operations, inventory control, merchandise administration, or a related position preferred. Experience in golf, resort, club, hospitality, or specialty retail environments is a plus. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
