Schedule: Monday–Saturday; Sundays off. IE NEMT is hiring dependable and compassionate drivers to transport patients safely to and from medical appointments. Medical transportation experience is preferred, but we will train qualified candidates. Responsibilities Safely transport patients and assist them when entering and exiting the vehicle. Follow assigned routes and communicate with dispatch about pickups, delays and trip completion. Complete vehicle safety checks and keep the vehicle clean. Secure wheelchairs and transportation equipment according to training. Maintain accurate trip records and protect patient confidentiality. Qualifications Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Availability for early morning pickups and a flexible finishing time based on scheduled rides. Professional attitude, patience and good communication skills. Ability to assist patients safely and complete required training, credentialing and assessment. Previous NEMT or patient transportation experience preferred. Hours Work is scheduled six days per week, Monday through Saturday. Start times vary based on patient rides and may be early in the morning. Scheduled workdays have a minimum of four paid hours. Depending on ride volume, shifts may extend to nine hours, including a one-hour meal break, with additional rest breaks provided as required.
