This position plays a critical role in ensuring our medical teams have the medications, equipment, supplies, and logistical support needed to provide medical services throughout Alaska. This is not a traditional warehouse position. The Medical Materials & Support Technician must have an EMS background and strong working knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment. The position is responsible for medical inventory and materials management while also providing case management, patient, transportation, and logistical support to the Medical Services team. Key Responsibilities Medical Materials & Inventory Manage day-to-day inventory of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, equipment, and medical kits. Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure critical supplies are available for clinics, field projects, and medical personnel. Monitor medication and supply expiration dates, usage, minimum stock levels, and replenishment needs. Receive, inspect, organize, stock, and distribute medical supplies and equipment. Prepare, stock, and maintain medical kits for remote projects and field medical personnel. Assist with ordering and replenishment of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment. Maintain an organized, secure, clean, and inspection-ready medical materials and warehouse area. Assist with shipping, receiving, and coordination of medical materials moving to and from remote locations. Maintain accurate inventory records and associated documentation. Pharmaceutical & Controlled Substance Support Maintain pharmaceutical inventory and assist with medication ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and expiration tracking. Safely handle and maintain appropriate documentation for controlled substances and narcotics in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements. Maintain appropriate security, accountability, and chain-of-custody documentation for controlled medications. Work closely with medical providers and the Medical Services team to ensure appropriate medications and supplies are available for field operations. Medical & Case Management Support Assist the Medical Services team with case management support and coordination as needed. Provide transportation or escort assistance for patients who need to be evaluated at an emergency department, clinic, or other medical facility. Assist with transportation to medical appointments when appropriate. Communicate and coordinate with members of the medical team regarding patient transportation and other logistical needs. Maintain patient confidentiality and appropriately handle protected and sensitive medical information.
