UniversalMed Supply is seeking a full-time Power Mobility Delivery Technician to join our Field Operations Department. Reporting to the local Branch Manager, this position is dedicated to delivering, fitting, maintaining, and repairing power mobility equipment (including power wheelchairs and complex mobility devices) for healthcare facilities and patient homes across designated regional routes. RESPONSIBILITIES Equipment Delivery & Setup: Transport power mobility equipment to patient residences and healthcare facilities; perform white-glove setup and custom adjustments using hand and power tools to match patient clinical needs. Patient & Caregiver Education: Provide clear instructions and demonstrations on the safe operation, charging, maintenance, and care of power mobility equipment. Regional Route Execution: Travel on scheduled multi-day routes requiring up to 4 consecutive overnight stays per week (Monday through Friday only; no weekend stays or weekend routes). Service & Repair: Execute on-site diagnostic, repair, and maintenance orders for power mobility chairs and related accessories. Documentation & Compliance: Complete, process, and maintain all delivery confirmations, service logs, and required compliance paperwork accurately and promptly. Pre-Route Operations: Conduct pre-trip vehicle safety checks, verify daily route schedules, load cargo securely, and ensure accurate staging of equipment. Warehouse & Logistics Support: Assist with warehouse inventory management, including receiving, cleaning, sanitizing, tagging, and staging power mobility units. QUALIFICATIONS Technical Aptitude: Strong technical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills with electromechanical devices, power tools, or specialized medical equipment. Communication Skills: Clear, professional, and empathetic verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, and clinical personnel. Time Management: Strong self-management skills to independently maintain route schedules and meet delivery windows while on extended trips. REQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Physical Capability: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, as well as stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods. Schedule Flexibility: Willingness and availability to travel on regional routes involving up to 4 consecutive overnight stays during the workweek (no weekends).
