Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Medical Courier, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and secure transportation of medical supplies, specimens, and equipment. As a Medical Courier, you will be responsible for delivering sensitive medical items across designated routes using various types of vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles. Your dedication to adhering to safety standards and traffic regulations will help us maintain the highest level of service quality and reliability. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks or personal vehicles to transport medical supplies and specimens between healthcare facilities, laboratories, and other designated locations. Load and unload shipments with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring safe lifting practices and compliance with weight handling regulations. Follow established routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations to ensure timely deliveries. Use mobile devices or GPS systems to navigate routes accurately and document delivery details promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Communicate professionally with healthcare staff and clients to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safe operation throughout shifts. Skills Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Proven commercial driving experience, especially with box trucks or vans, is highly desirable. Experience in delivery driving, including personal vehicle delivery or courier services. Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and manual handling techniques for moving heavy or bulky items. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Strong understanding of traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and healthcare professionals.
