Mechanic for frac heater fleet

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our frac heater fleet maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment and industrial machinery used in hydraulic fracturing operations. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our commitment to excellence in the energy sector. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on frac heater fleet equipment including hydraulic systems, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical systems. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Repair and replace vehicle components such as shocks & struts, brakes, tires, air brakes, and alignments to ensure optimal performance. Execute welding, fabrication, and assembly work to repair or modify equipment parts in accordance with safety standards. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all repairs performed; adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance activities. Assist with vehicle systems diagnostics using automotive electrical system repair tools; perform diesel engine repairs and troubleshoot HVAC issues on equipment. Must have a good understanding of wiring Must be able to complete basic maintenance on semi ttrucks including brakes, light engine work and service. Skills Proven experience working with heavy equipment mechanics, diesel mechanics, or automotive repair in dealership or industrial settings. Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, electrical systems, and power tools operation. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues. Capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards at all times.
