Materials Supervisor- Day Shift 7am to 4pm

Training will be provided for all aspects of the duties. EXPECTATIONS OF THE MATERIALS MANAGER Maintain discipline and shop rules to ensure safety, attendance, efficiency and quality Organization and cleanliness (5S) will be promoted, maintained, and part of continuous improvement All warehoused items will be correctly tagged and stocked according to FIFO method Must become proficient with Epicor (ERP system) regarding Warehouse, Receiving and Job monitoring activities, as well as the Cycle Counting process. Provide daily job status (stock-outs, picked, unpicked) updates to production leadership team Understand warehouse and receiving practices and provide leadership and training to team Be knowledgeable on inventory control leak points and create controls to minimize or eliminate them. Effectively collaborates with the Scheduling, Assembly, Pressroom and Paint teams to support daily build objectives Timely and accurate communication of issues that impede assembly or paint operations (inventory variances, defective materials, etc.) Complete any other tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager DELIVERABLES Ensure accuracy and efficiency of picking and receiving transactions through continuous monitoring, coaching, and training Zero receipt errors and efficient processing Zero pick errors with efficient gathering and issuing performance Supports scheduling requests for cycle counting of materials Inventory variances are identified in a timely manner and corrected Inventory variance root causes will be investigated and corrected Quality control measures related to receiving, warehousing, and transporting, will be discussed regularly and adopted as standard procedures Develop KPI’s to help monitor and gauge the performance of the team and team members Actively work to eliminate and prevent material cross contamination which will include collaborating with the Assembly Supervisor An action plan, supporting assembly objectives for the next day, will be completed in cooperation with the Assembly Supervisor by the end of the day Will play a major role in the annual Physical Inventory Participates in Material Team member job performance reviews Support and train for completion of Material Return tags to support inventory accuracy SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED LEADERSHIP EXPERTISE IN: Has good understanding of warehouse and receiving practices Actively engages in the coaching and training of team members in a positive and supportive manner Thorough communication of material handling practices and procedures to team members including issuing material, primary and secondary bin locations, variance reporting, stock placement and orientation in bins, and FIFO Thorough communication of quality control points/concerns to team members and supporting departments Able to manage, record, report, and fill material shortages in staged jobs Thoroughly and accurately acts upon changes to job BOM’s (example: part substitutions, RMA material integration, material exclusion) by picking and issuing correct materials, and returning to stock any replaced materials Works in concert with the Production Supervisor to control tear down projects (RMA, sample return, over builds) by identifying and routing recovered materials to proper locations (rework/repaint, stock, scrap) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Referral program Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) License/Certification: Forklift Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
