Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Materials Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing logistics operations to ensure efficient supply chain management. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in process improvement, demand planning, and transportation management systems. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods and services while ensuring compliance with company standards. Responsibilities Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize routes. Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively. Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory. Operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading goods as required. Operate a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries Move products to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks Stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas Maintain traceability of parts and perform data entry into the ERP/WMS system Assist with inventory control by keeping accurate records of goods received and shipped Technological capabilities Strong written and verbal communication. Experience Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams. Forklift experience Lift 50lbs (standing, bending, stooping) Computer software (Excel, Microsoft 365, Word, Access) Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for inventory management tasks Join us as a Materials Specialist where your expertise will directly impact operational efficiency while supporting a collaborative team environment dedicated to continuous improvement!
