The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in an fast changing environment.Job ResponsibilitiesAnalyze MRP/ERP reports daily to identify net material requirements, review action messages and release purchase requisitionsRelease of purchase requisitions to fulfill demand forecasts and master production schedule.Provide daily shortage visibility and impact analysis to Production Planner, Operations LeadersCreate and maintain all “intercompany” purchase orders, maintain daily communication with intercompany counterpartsSupport, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the companySupport Kanban or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs where applicableReview/Analyze cycle count reports from warehouse team to highlight any critical components variances that will impact productionCollaborate with procurement to expedite or defer orders proactively based on changes to production schedulesMonitor actual material costs incurred to date against total estimated project budgetTrack committed costs to project (Open Purchase Orders and Supplier Agreements)Align delivery of high value components with the project “Cost to Cost/Percent Complete” targetsServe as backup/cross-coverage for peer planners and buyers as neededMaintain audit-ready records and support internal/external and customer auditsSupport, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company QualificationsBachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience, or a combination of education and on the job experience.Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationshipsStrong background in project material managementExtensive experience in production planningSkilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as SharepointStrong understanding of MRP/ERP systemsU.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.The salary range for this position is ($60,051/year- $90,000). This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity.
