Materials Manager

Title: Materials Manager Salary: $130-140k Location: Gretna, LA Schedule: On-site Company Profile: A global leader in food and flavor is looking to add a Materials Manager to their team. This person will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for a function within a high performance plant/facility. This person will have overall accountability for the performance of the function and the impact on the larger operating unit as well as lead team managers and/or staff to achieve exceptional business results through the development of people and continuous improvement of manufacturing and supply chain processes. The Materials Manager Will Be Responsible for the Following: Collaborate with the Management team to plan, forecast and replenish products for customers Balance inventory, service and cost objectives, drive collaborative supply chain improvements and support Customer Service Responsible for all replenishment activities and working with internal and external departments to meet customer demand Direct and administer the following: purchasing, production scheduling and control, inventory and warehouse stock control, warehousing sales order entry, customer service, traffic and shipping Manage Production Planning and Scheduling to ensure the smoothest production curve, while maintaining a high customer service level The Materials Manager Should Have the Following Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 7-10 years of functional/leadership experience Strong leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and people ERP system experience, SAP preferred
