Materials Manager

Our team provides top-notch industry training who will help you grow as a professional in the industry. Our clients are in Manufacturing Industry looking for Materials Manager in Toronto Area. What you need to have: 5+ years in materials, supply chain, planning or procurement in manufacturing. Solid ERP/MRP and Excel skills, and a working knowledge of lean and 5S. Experience leading hourly and supervisory teams, ideally in a unionized setting. A degree or diploma in supply chain, business or engineering. CPIM, CSCP or CPSM is an asset. Lead purchasing, planning, scheduling, inventory, receiving and warehousing, and the team that does that work. Plan materials from the forecast and customer orders, avoiding both stockouts and excess inventory. Build and manage the production schedule, balancing demand, material availability, line capacity and changeovers, and working closely with Production, Quality and Shipping. Manage suppliers on lead time and delivery, and raise issues early.
