DEFINITION: The Materials Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, storage, and distribution of equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for the efficient operation of Partnership Health Center (PHC) clinics. This position supervises inventory management, procurement activities, vendor relations, and biomedical supply needs while ensuring compliance with policies and healthcare regulations. The supervisor also leads a team responsible for materials handling and distribution. KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and asset management best practices. Understanding of medical office procedures, HIPAA compliance, and safety regulations. Familiarity with biomedical equipment maintenance and sterilization procedures. Working knowledge of modern medical office practices and procedures. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and math. Working knowledge of the principles and practices of HIPAA compliance. Working knowledge of the PHC Corporate Compliance Guidelines. SKILLS: Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, word-processing software, and inventory management systems. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities. ABILITIES: Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to supervise and mentor staff. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make responsible decisions. Ability to learn assigned tasks and procedures. Ability to perform detailed work in a precise and accurate manner, manage multiple tasks and priorities, work independently and work in a stressful and hectic environment.
