Materials & Inventory Specialist

About the Role EKT Battery U.S. Inc. is looking for a hands-on Warehouse & Inventory Specialist to support our growing U.S. operation. This role is responsible for day-to-day receiving and shipping, inventory accuracy, safe product storage, and routine maintenance of battery products and related equipment while in the warehouse. This is more than a traditional warehouse position. The person in this role will also play an active part in building our inventory control processes and implementing the company’s ERP system together with finance, management, and other operational team members. Key Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and product condition, review accompanying documentation, and report any discrepancies or damage. Prepare outbound orders for shipment, including picking, inspection, staging, packing, labeling, documentation, and coordination of carrier pickup when required. Maintain an organized warehouse with clearly defined storage locations and safe handling of batteries, chargers, components, and other equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts, physical inventory checks, and reconciliation of differences between physical stock and system records. Perform routine storage-related inspection and maintenance of battery products and equipment, including periodic charging, state of-charge checks, visual condition checks, and other required procedures. Perform basic hands-on technical tasks related to batteries, chargers, accessories, and equipment when needed, following company procedures and escalating technical issues appropriately. Participate actively in the implementation and ongoing improvement of the company’s ERP and inventory-management system, including receiving, shipping, transfers, warehouse locations, labeling, and inventory transactions. Work closely with finance and management to ensure that physical inventory, ERP records, and accounting records remain accurate and aligned. Help improve warehouse layout, labeling, process documentation, and day-to-day operating procedures as the U.S. business grows. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a practical, reliable, and organized person who is comfortable working both with physical products and with computer-based inventory systems. A specific college degree is not required; attention to detail, ownership, and willingness to learn are more important. Prior hands-on experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory, logistics, maintenance, or a similar operational role. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the discipline to keep inventory and shipment records accurate. Comfort working with physical products, packaging materials, basic tools, and warehouse equipment. Comfort using computers, spreadsheets, and business software, with the ability to learn ERP or inventory-management systems quickly. Ability to follow procedures carefully and maintain consistent documentation for receiving, shipping, inventory, and product condition. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to take ownership of day-to-day warehouse responsibilities with limited supervision. Practical problem-solving ability and willingness to improve processes rather than simply follow existing routines. Ability to communicate clearly and work cross-functionally with finance, management, service, sales, and logistics teams. Nice to Have Experience with ERP, WMS, inventory-management, barcode, or warehouse-location systems. Experience with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, shipping documentation, or carrier coordination. Experience handling batteries, electrical equipment, industrial products, automotive parts, or other technical products.
