U.S. Army Sustainment CommandDuties Evaluate, plan, and distribute work assignments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Develop performance standards, counsel employees on performance, and make formal and informal performance appraisals. Establish a good working climate to encourage employees to participate in a safe work environment while achieving management goals, and to promote efficient and economical work operations. Develop and establish internal procedures to be followed by subordinate leaders to assure effective control and direction of work activities and personnel supervised. Ensure stocked inventory is adequate for customer demands. Ensure inventories are being conducted in accordance with policies and procedures, while exercising control and accountability of supplies. Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter . This is a drug tested position. The position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter. The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states. This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment. This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11. This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed. The incumbent will be required to pass and maintain a forklift operator certification within 6 months of employment.
