This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Learn more about this agency This job is open to The public U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Duties Receive and inspect incoming shipments from commercial and military carriers, verifying all containers and reconciling contents with shipping documents and purchase orders. Identify and report shortages, overages, damages, or other discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor and appropriate office personnel. Store incoming materials in designated locations or prepare issue documentation for items requiring immediate distribution to customers. Sign for all incoming shipments and coordinate directly with customers to schedule pick-up or delivery of issued items. Conduct cyclic and annual warehouse inventory counts and ensure accuracy of stock records. Update and maintain storage locations in coordination with the supervisor and enter all changes into the warehouse information management system. Operate motor vehicles up to a 23,000-pound gross vehicle weight, equipped with hydraulic lift gates and a 2-speed/10-gear transmission, to transport materials and supplies. Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Government Driver's License. The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident. This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Applicants tentatively selected will participate in drug urinalysis testing, unless currently occupying a TDP within the Department of War. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire). Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position. This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing. This position has a TDY or business travel requirement of 10% of the time to various locations. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships, and vehicles. This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. This position is required to work uncommon tours of duty hours such as, on-call, working either fixed or rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
