Duties Leads on a regular and recurring basis, leading and mentoring three or more permanent and temporary employees to achieve materials handling operations. Provides training and certify assigned employees in the safe operation of mechanized equipment, various forklifts and other material handling devices. Ensures that all items, including hazardous materials, are properly marked, tagged/labeled and in properly marked containers. Ensures needed plans, material, and tools are available, including obtaining needed stock from supply locations. Uses automated material identification equipment such as bar code wands, computer terminals, and laser scanners. Performs work according to instructions, time schedules, safety requirements, and standards of the occupation. Selects designated items for storage, build and assemble kits for storage and shipment per National standards or specifications. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate motor vehicles before entry on duty. Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), within the first 12 months of initial employment. This is a drug testing designated position. You will be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Appointment is based on a negative result. This announcement constitutes 30 days advance notice.
