Overview: The Conference Services Department at Auburn University at Montgomery is accepting applications for a Materials Handler/Laborer. Auburn University at Montgomery reserves the right once interviewing has begun to stop accepting applications. Responsibilities: Load, unload, and transport materials (e.g., lab and office equipment, office furniture, file cabinets, exhibit cases, purchased supplies) Operate and maintain trucks and assigned equipment used for moving Arrange and set up rooms for functions Maintain security of goods and equipment during moving operations Schedule and fulfill surplus pickups and deliveries Retrieve campus mail from USPS and deliver to campus mailroom Perform work related to repairing and maintaining systems, equipment, and fixtures on campus Assists with performing trade repairs and installs in campus buildings Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on facility systems Perform general maintenance and clean up tasks as assigned Work with internal and external customers Complete work orders in a timely manner and follow set schedules Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Valid driver’s license High school diploma or equivalent Equal Opportunity Compliance Statement: AUBURN UNIVERSITY AT MONTGOMERY IS AN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION/EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
