Materials Handler

NPS Materials Handler Summary: Material Handler will provide exceptional service and support to product teams by receiving, storing, and shipping materials. The job will include operating forklifts, reach-trucks, electric pallets jacks, and a box truck. Responsibilities: Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, staging finished product for final distribution. Contributes to the orderly operation of stocking and/or materials and storage area. Maintains inventory by identifying and labeling materials prior to moving to racking. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials. Locates and packs materials for shipping. Documents materials, and records units delivered and location of stored units. Receives deliveries and stores in corresponding area. Maintains material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections inspection. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items or assists operators to move materials onto/off trucks. Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations. Maintains a clean work area. Maintain security of warehouse (Answer door, verify reason for entry, escort customers to specific areas). Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Good Communication skills Organizational skills Adept at handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines. Excellent time management skills Microsoft Office proficiency Knowledge of inventory control Forklift/Reach truck certified.
