Intern Program Overview

Job Purpose
Join the CNH Materials Engineering team and help develop the materials that protect and enhance some of the world's most advanced agricultural and construction equipment. As a Materials Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with paints, coatings, polymers, plastics, color technology, and material performance testing while supporting real-world engineering projects. Working alongside experienced engineers, laboratory technicians, and cross-functional teams, you will evaluate materials, investigate product performance, and contribute to the development of new technologies used across CNH products. This role offers exposure to laboratory testing, color science, coatings technology, polymer materials, data analysis, and product development while making a direct impact on product quality, durability, and customer satisfaction. Ideal for students interested in materials engineering, polymers, coatings, manufacturing, product development, or quality engineering, this internship provides valuable industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Support Product Development Projects. Work alongside Materials Engineers on real-world projects involving paints, coatings, plastics, adhesives, and other materials used on CNH equipment.
• Perform Material Testing and Evaluation. Conduct laboratory testing to assess durability, weathering, corrosion resistance, color performance, and material properties.
• Analyze Data and Communicate Results. Collect, analyze, and interpret test data, identify trends, and present findings and recommendations to engineering teams.
• Collaborate on Material Solutions. Participate in material selection, supplier qualification, product improvement initiatives, and root cause investigations to solve engineering challenges.
• Engage with Cross-Functional Teams. Work with Manufacturing, Design Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers while supporting color development, appearance evaluations, and other projects that directly impact CNH products.
Experience Required
Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor's Degree

The annual salary for this role is USD $23.69 - $25.75 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
