• Coordinate all operations within the materials department, including material planning, procurement, shipping/receiving, and warehousing to ensure the timely delivery of finished goods/materials.
• Monitors inventory levels and coordinates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials to manufacture the product.
• Process requests efficiently and effectively so that all departments receive the goods they need in a timely manner.
• Keep production flowing smoothly by ensuring the proper materials are on hand at all times.
• Communicates with customers to ensure their expectations, including turnaround time, are fulfilled.
• Handle the shipping and receiving of products to and from other branches and vendors, including UPS shipments.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile variances.
• Process defective units.
• Maintain accurate records of all materials received and distributed, including updating inventory systems.
• Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of received materials to ensure they meet specifications.
• Responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of new processes as needed.
• Communicate with various departments to understand their material needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Comply with quality performance standards
• Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
• All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports

Required Skills and Experience
• Understanding and proficiency in overseeing product flow processes and troubleshooting issues
related to materials handling and distribution.
• Working knowledge of inventory management systems.
• An understanding of Six Sigma/6S/LEAN concepts.
• Capable of prioritizing workflow efficiently while also demonstrating problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of managing a busy workload, organizing tasks, and meeting deadlines consistently.
• Demonstrates problem-solving abilities and effective decision-making skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Proficient computer knowledge, including MS Word, Excel and spreadsheet applications.
