Materials Coordinator (Afternoon)

THE OPPORTUNITY The Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, expediting and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities. RESPONSIBILITIES Reading schedules, reports, and job orders to determine materials required, availability of stock, and order priority Working with department supervisors to determine overdue material and parts and completing discrepancy reports as required Locating and distributing materials to specified production areas Recording and maintaining inventory of quantity and type of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed Compiling and maintaining inventory and production records Examining material received, verifying part numbers, engineering codes, and checking for discrepancies Transporting materials to and from suppliers and customers Perform other duties as required Ability to lift and carry materials weighing approximately 20 to 50 pounds as required. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma and/or Secondary Education related to Operations Management, Materials Planning/Handling Experience and/or training in Inventory and Materials Management is preferable Strong ability to maintain effective communication both internally and externally to support outstanding customer service Driver’s license with proven safe driving record Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft applications and ERP systems Experience working with automated and/or barcoding inventory systems is an asset Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Self-motivated with good initiative Driven to continuously improve processes and systems Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner WHAT WE OFFER Competitive compensation and benefits package Clean and safe working environment If you possess the above qualifications and are looking for a new opportunity to advance your career within a successful and growing organization, we want to hear from you.
