PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Incoming goods:
- Receives shipments by: properly unpacking, recording receipt in ERP, checking goods match the packing slips, determining errors or shortages, completing a receiving form, following up on errors or damage issues, checking required documentation, transporting equipment or parts to correct locations in the plant, delivering all documentation to the appropriate areas.

• Outgoing:
- Prepares parts / courier shipments by: properly packaging, weighing, labeling, completing a way bill, determining shipping charges and contacting the appropriate carrier for final transport
- Coordinates with Purchasing to prepare shipping documentation for outgoing parts (not for finished projects)
- Arrange delivery to Customers, Suppliers, or Sub-contractors as needed and notifying customers of pick-ups, as applicable.


• Materials:
- Review all material requirements for upcoming assembly jobs to ensure all purchased parts are available on time. Report any missing items to Management and Purchasing.
- Maintains parts facilities & racks in a clean, organized and secure manner; maintains work areas in a similar clean, orderly and unobstructed condition. Record material locations in ERP system
- Maintain janitorial supplies.


Other:
- Work with Parts & Service Coordinator for Service / Warranty part shipments.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, specifically Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Other duties as may be assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS


Education & Experience
• Post-secondary College Education (preferred)
• Minimum 6 months experience in shipping / receiving and materials handling in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in equipment / stock movement and a basic understanding of customs/duty procedures would be beneficial
• Good computer / keyboarding knowledge
• Experience with ERP systems


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work in a team setting and/or independently.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
• Overhead crane and forklift truck experience/certification is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license.

Hourly wage range:


$25-30/hr
