Materials Assistant - Inova Oakville ASC

Inova Oakville Surgery Center located at 400 Fannon St. Alexandria VA, is currently hiring a Full-Time experienced Materials Assistant to become an integral member of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients. ABOUT US: The Inova Oakville Ambulatory Surgery Center, situated in the Potomac Yards area of Alexandria. This cutting-edge facility will be a cornerstone of the newly established Inova medical campus. Boasting state-of-the-art infrastructure, the center will feature three (3) Operating Rooms, (2) Procedure/GI Suites, and 15 PreOp/PACU bays, all geared towards delivering top-tier medical services to our community. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Unpack and distribute supplies and equipment Verify daily delivery of items with packing slips and purchase orders, and note back-orders. Notify appropriate individuals of discrepancies Research and resolve problems with damaged, missing, or incorrect merchandise Computer input of used items from physician preference cards for prior days’ procedures Assist with maintaining par levels and restocking when needed Prepare supply re-order lists Create purchase orders for reordering of supplies and send to appropriate vendor for processing Perform monthly physical inventory counts Other duties as assigned WHAT YOU'LL NEED: At least one (1) year previous work experience in ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting Strongly prefer operating room experience - RN, CST knowledge preferable Strong computer skills, ability to learn new inventory system software Proficient in MS Word and Excel Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends the English language Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to organize and prioritize work.
