In the Material Planner role, you will coordinate with our production planning and customer service teams to optimize inventory and support plant operations. You will develop and execute our supply plan and releases, determining priorities and implementing strategies to reduce out-of-stock and excess stock issues. You will also help support our production schedule, taking into consideration the forecasted demand for finished items and our raw material needs. Key Responsibilities Maintain a long-term supply schedule/plan, taking into consideration the needs forecasted by our production planning team Resolve material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions Request recovery plan if suppliers fall behind schedule and meet with suppliers to ensure plan is successfully implemented Use root cause analysis methods to help develop and implement workable solutions to support on time deliveries to support production requirements Advise suppliers of proper shipping methods to meet delivery deadlines Utilize SAP tools to execute supplier schedules and monitor delivery for 100% on-time delivery Daily interaction and communication with other functional areas purchasing supplier quality, production scheduling, and customer service Track inventory of raw materials and optimize materials to avoid excess inven…
