Material / Parts Picker

Position Overview The Material Picker is responsible for fulfilling picklists for upcoming orders while keeping production priorities in mind. They will also need to validate the picks as well as report, track, and deliver any parts shortages for these picklists. Responsibilities ● Reads and reviews parts picklists. ● Loads and labels parts from picklists onto job carts. ● Conducts quality control checks on picked parts. ● Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools. ● Maintains organization of aluminum parts storage. ● Communicates part shortages to leadership. ● Tracks and delivers short parts to picked jobs. ● Routes carts with picked jobs to forming machines and powder coat cell. ● Verifies specifications of picked parts by measuring completed component. ● Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. ● Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. Qualifications ● Previous material handling experience ● Mechanical and technical skills. ● Ability to problem solve and understand labels and written instructions. ● Lifting requirements up to 50lbs, must be able to bend, twist and reach. ● Safety management mindset. ● Focus on quality control.
