Material Handling - Mesa 1st Shift

Location This position will be primarily based out of our Mesa facilities located at/near 4712 South Ellsworth Road, Mesa, AZ 85212. Though pending business needs could slide to other AZ sites. Schedule (Current as of posting, but is subject to change pending business needs) On-site, Full-time, 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 8.00 hour shifts, 06:00AM-02:30PM, with potential for additional hours pending business needs. English Comprehension Each individual will be required to take and pass a short English comprehension test which follows CEFR A1 level guidelines in understanding. This test is in English and includes a five sentence statement, followed by five questions related to the statement. A passing score is 3 of 5 or more questions answered correctly. Answers can be written in primary language as the intent of the test is only to show a base understanding level is known. If unable to pass this test, we will not move forward with an interview, but strongly encourage each individual to work on improving their understanding and re-applying in the future. As our business continues to evolve and meet higher standards in quality, safety, efficiency, and customer expectation, it has become increasingly important that all team members are able to show at minimum, a base comprehension in English. Everyday paperwork such as work orders, blueprints, inspection forms, are all in English. Our job status system and other programs are also in English. It is vital that everyone can understand in full, the expectations set by these items to meet business expectations. We do our best as a team to lend assistance when translations might be needed but this is not always available. Phones are not permitted on the production floor for safety reasons, so base comprehension is necessary to remain effective in production efficiencies. Position Description Material Handling's primary purpose, responsibilities, and expectations include, but are not limited to efficiently and effectively managing the movement, distribution, and staging of in-process materials for operations within out facilities. The ideal candidate is detail orientated, dedicated, enthusiastic, and efficient. This is a critical role in ensuring inventory is accurate, orders are fulfilled on time, and operations can meet their goals. This position reports to the Inventory Supervisor for our Arizona based operations. Essential Responsibilities Always strive to represent yourself and our culture in a positive, professional manner. Embracing an adaptive/evolving environment in a proactive and positive manner. Process material movement physically and systematically. Complete cycle counts, shelf-life management and other material health functions. Partner with Quality team to manage physical and systemic transactions for non-confirming material. Kit materials for assigned jobs. Ensure materials have supporting documentation before moving. Follow all standard operating procedures of the business. Safely operate material handling equipment as required. Training and re-certification trainings may be required pending the equipment. Professionally, positively, and clearly communicate and interact with fellow peers, departments, and leadership. Perform assigned job tasks which meet or exceed company expectations. If further training is needed, must show clear evidence of improvement on specified duty. Read and understand drawings, blueprints, and other task related documents. Adhere to all safety policies and rules while raising any concerns to direct supervisor or EHS team. Qualifications THIS IS AN INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT WHICH REQUIRES PHYSCIAL CAPABILITIES. Required High School diploma/equivalent. Passionate about materials and supply chain management. 1+ years of professional experience in manufacturing/materials-based role.
