Position Summary: The Warehouse Material Handler oversees the process of moving and distributing products and materials from one location to another along with extracting and loading materials for Kitting and Production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Transitions product from in-bound staging area to warehouse locations. Directs the workflow in the receiving area, setting priorities and meeting deadlines for the receiving function. Handles receiving of product through warehouse inventory system. Ensures proper quality standards of finished product when stretch wrapping. Identifies, reports, and removes faulty equipment and/or damaged product. Ensures each inventory tag is scanned individually upon physical movement Ensures area of operation is organized and inventory accuracy Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts as required. Keeps receiving area, warehouse shelves and aisles clean, organized, and free of hazards and obstructions. Follows all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing special protective gear and disposing of materials as regulated by law. Maintains GMP standards throughout the warehouse. Required Experience & Education/Experience: High School Diploma, or GED 2 years warehouse experience Forklift certification required Strong math skills and attention to detail - must pass Summit Math Test Possess high professional ethics, dependability, good judgment and ability to take decisive action Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Adhere to company safety standards Mathematical Ability: Strong math skills and attention to detail - must pass Summit Math Test Certificates and Licenses: · Forklift certification (required) *** NOTE*** Summit will recertify each Forklift Driver Work Environment: This position requires work in both an office setting and a warehouse setting. Work often requires “after hours” communication or extended work hours, including weekend or evening work. Working conditions in the warehouse setting may or may not be environmentally controlled resulting in hot or cold temperatures. Employee will work in an area where there is moving warehouse equipment. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
