At TK Truck Body , we're looking for a dependable, hands-on person to join our busy manufacturing facility as a Material Handler / Shop Support About Us TK Truck Body is a division of Thermo King Western, a proudly Canadian, family-owned company serving customers across Western Canada for more than 60 years. We design, build, install, and service commercial truck equipment, including service bodies, flat decks, dump bodies, cranes, liftgates, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and custom fleet upfits. The Opportunity As a Material Handler / Shop Support, you'll play an important role in keeping our production facility organized and moving. You'll help receive and organize incoming materials, stage parts and equipment for production, prepare outgoing shipments, maintain shop and material-storage areas, and provide general support wherever needed to keep work flowing. This is primarily a material-handling role, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities as you gain experience and develop your skills. Over time, this may include supporting shipping and receiving, inventory control, parts, production, or other areas of the operation. You don't need to come to us knowing everything. We provide comprehensive in-house training and are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Do Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming materials and equipment. Match shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation. Accurately maintain organized, traceable inventory locations. Strictly follow company process controls for all shipping, receiving, issuing, and material transfers to ensure accurate stock records and traceability. Label, organize, store, and safely move materials throughout the facility. Stage materials, parts, equipment, and vehicles for production. Deliver materials to production areas as required. Help prepare, package, document, and load outgoing shipments. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment once trained and authorized . Assist with general shop, yard, cleanup, organization, and minor maintenance tasks as required. Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, yard, and material-storage areas. Report material shortages, discrepancies, damage, or other issues promptly. Work closely with production, purchasing, parts, and management to keep work moving. Follow company safety procedures and participate in workplace training. Take on additional shop-support duties as you gain experience and training. Be able or willing to learn to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, large vehicles, and other equipment required for the role.
