Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Material Handler / Shop Hand to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing materials, supporting warehouse operations, and assisting with shop tasks to ensure smooth production flow. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will help maintain our high standards of quality and efficiency. Duties Load, unload, move, and organize materials. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Receive and verify incoming shipments. Pick, package, and prepare parts for shipment. Mark materials and verify part numbers. Maintain inventory accuracy and perform inventory transactions. Deliver materials to workstations as needed. Assist laser operators, welders, and fabrication personnel. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow all company safety and quality standards. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Perform other shop duties as assigned. Experience Previous warehouse distribution or industrial materials handling experience preferred. Familiarity with order picking processes using RF scanners or manual methods. Experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or other heavy equipment required; certification is a plus. Knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving procedures. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Prior experience with OSHA safety standards or similar safety protocols is advantageous. Manufacturing, warehouse, or fabrication experience preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Strong attention to detail and reliability.
