Material Handler/Saw Operator
ConfidentialOverview Join our manufacturing team as a Material Handler/Saw Operator, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and precise cutting operations that are required for the manufacturing, shipping/receiving, moving, storing or raw materials, purchased parts, and finished parts. Duties Safely operate saws, including band saws, to cut metal and other materials according to technical specifications. Handle and transport raw materials using forklifts or hand tools, ensuring proper storage and organization within the workspace. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to accurately execute cutting and fabrication tasks. Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments to verify dimensions and adherence to safety standards in production. Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering strictly to safety protocols and operational procedures. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Skilled in using measuring instruments for quality control and precision measurement in machining processes. Experience with shop math, basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to manufacturing tasks. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and strict adherence to safety protocols during machine operation. Able to drive a forklift. Previous forklift experience a plus. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
